Light lengthens 1 - winter solstice --There is a glimmer of excitement when the Solstice arrives. The light lengthens each day after the 21st, one step closer to spring. The winter is a time of contemplation and for me, a time of sadness. The light leaves the sky around 3:30 brings a melancholy feeling. The solstice invigorates excitement of the arrival of blankets of daffodils to awaken across the Nashville landscape.
